24hrs Drainage was recently called out to Woodley Council’s headquarters to investigate and resolve a blocked drain. Upon arrival, our team quickly got to work using high-pressure water jetting, an effective method for breaking up and flushing out stubborn blockages. This restored flow to the drain, allowing us to carry out further investigations.

Following the clearance, we conducted a CCTV drain survey to assess the condition of the pipework and identify the root cause of the blockage. The inspection revealed root ingress, a common issue where tree roots penetrate drainage systems, leading to severe obstructions and potential pipe damage over time.

To provide a long-term solution, we have scheduled a root cut and drain reline. The root cutting process will remove all intrusive roots, ensuring the pipe is completely clear. Once this is done, we will install a drain liner, reinforcing the pipework and preventing further root ingress or structural defects, effectively future-proofing the system.
